Subject: The Penderwick sisters and their father go on summer vacation in a miniature cottage behind a colossal mansion, and there they meet Jeffrey Tifton, who has a unpleasant and strict mother.
Other: Characters have very distinct personalties, the story keeps you focused, lots of good vocabulary, not too intense, just a happy and entertaining family story.

This is definitely one of my favorite books of all times! At the end of the book, it was almost like I personally knew all the characters.
Motherly Rosland, headstrong Sky,day-dreaming Jane, and very funny Batty.
